words she says at 1

she has 2 bottom teeth :)
One is all the way grown in and the 2ND one is about half way broke out. The second tooth she wasn't fussy with- I haven't had any problems with that lately :)
Yesterday Johnny went to the hospital so Jennifer took her to church with her. She said that she put her in the nursery with her new Wintertime Outfit on her. and the church was too hot for it. So, when she picked her up from the nursery she was crawling around in a diaper. haha.

Today at the dentist she learned how to drink out of a straw. I gave her some of my Capri sun and she liked it enough to learn how to suck threw it.. I think it helped when I was holding the straw to give her some- Somehow it taught her to close her mouth and suck in..

When we got back home Rylee came down to play. Lexie was playing with her new sea horse she was given by her aunt laurie. She loved it! She was holding it like a baby rocking it back and fourth with her BIG smile on!

Words that she can say---

MOMMY, MAMA, - usually says when she wants me or wants something-- (i think its because it's got a M like MORE.. Or MMMM..)
DADA,
PUPPY-
Yesterday we were watching TV and she saw a puppy and said PUPPY! She usually over uses the word. But she does know what it means.
BABY- She likes to say this word- Sometimes she says the word BOBBY instead. So, we are working on that. Today at the dentist she was playing with a potato head and she was calling it BOBBY.- HA.. boy version of baby I GUESS.
UH OH- She has learned to say this when she drops her stuffed animals in stores to let me know we have got to stop. GOOD THING TOO!
BYE BYE - I have been trying to teach her to put 2 words together Like BYE BYE PUPPY- hasn't been quite successful yet though.
THANK YOU - She likes to play games with me by handing me items and me handing it back to her. and her saying THANKYOU. Kind of sounds more like (DU TU) But she knows what she means :)
PAPA- She Definitely says the word But I'm not quite sure that she knows what it means.

She also has been enjoying saying different sounds lately. She says the word MEEMEE all the time. ha. I guess because its like MOMMY but its kind of like a different word.

Lexies 1st BDAY

Lexie's birthday was totally awesome. I couldn't have asked for a better one.
In the morning time I wasn't totally sure where I was going to have her party. I called Jennifer to find out what the weather was going to be like. I found out that it was a 90 percent chance of raining. It was hard to give up the idea of the park- But, I looked at it positively and at least Josh would be able to be there-
So, I went to the store with my mom and Johnny. and My mom was going crazy Buying her everything. She is so much help :) She bought her a cpl more outfits to put in her presents. And bought LOTS of candy for the pinata. and tacos. Then, I went to the party store to get My birthday girl a birthday hat.
We took some pics of her before she got into her cake. She LOVED HER CAKE- She went straight for the icing and ate all of the icing off of the cake . Then, we busted the pinata. We did the kids youngest to oldest. Lexie had no hope of busting it. Neither did Rylee.. Or Ryan really. Summer had a chance but wasn't hitting hard enough. I don't think that they quite understood why they were allowed to hit something with a bat. Finally My mom accidently broke it. Lexie then, got a hold of a lolly pop and got sticky stuff all over her hands, clothes, house, floor. haha. It was all worth it though. She Loved all her gifts that she got. She wasn't too interested in opening them though. So, I let Summer and Ryan help her open the presents. I figured they would enjoy it more anyway.
Today I got all her toys in her room and out of boxes so she can play with her new toys. She loves to sit in the chair. She LOVES a lil car that her great grandma gave her. Its got a MOMMY and BABY in it that she can push around. and it sings. She also has been playing a lot with the ball popper. Really, anything with music she loves :)
Her birthday all together went very well.
Thanks again to everyone that came :) I don't know what we coulda done without you :)

shopping at wal mart.

Yesterday I was at Wal-mart doing a little shopping. Right when I got there I took Lexie to the toy isle so she could occupy herself while I shop a little bit.
I really figured that I was done doing my Birthday shopping for her.

I found a green doggy. That you teach it her name and it teaches her to spell her name- and you can personalize everything- to talk about what she likes... etc.. etc.. As we walked around the store she was holding the puppy. She kept saying PUPPY. Its not exactly puppy- But I know that she knows what she's saying. haha.
End of the story- Basically. I fell in love with this puppy. and when I paid I also bought the puppy.

I CANT KEEP ANY OF HER PRESENTS SECRETS! hahaha.. It just so happens that she has seen and played with everything I bought her for her birthday- But, somehow Johnny has kept each of his gifts a secret. HAHA. Good thing she is still so young- When she gets older I will definitely have to work on hiding her gifts a LOT better.

She has also gotten a LOT better at saying bye bye. Pretty much everytime somebody says Bye Bye to her she says it back and waves :)

Tomorrow is her birthday and I looked up the news and its 80% chance of rain... UGH. I really hope that we get lucky and get to have a outside birthday as planned.

learning body parts. :)

Last night Lexie was really enjoying playing with a toy. I put one on her head to be silly and she absolutely thought it was hilarious. So I would tell her put it on your head. and she would try to put it on her head. I also taught her she could put it on her ears. So, she would try. Then, I told her to put it in her mouth and she would put it in her mouth. Then, I tried to teach her to put it on Mommys head.. and Daddys head- So It helped her with understanding body parts.

Then, we went to my bedroom and she saw the toy box. I was teaching her to point at the butterflies. I said wheres the butterfly? and she would point! So cute . She is so excited about it. I cant wait to put it in her room. It will make her feel like its hers more I think.

learning a lil everyday

Lexie's tooth is coming in more- But its still not big enough to tell that she has a tooth without feeling it. She's still being fussy. She's been out of formula for the past 2 days- She has been handling it pretty well I would say- I'm not ready to get her off it cold turkey yet- Because its so convenient for when she wakes up in the morning hungry- to hand her the bottle and go back to sleep before she wakes up for good. Compared to this morning- getting up at 9 and staying up with her. She cried the ENTIRE morning. I gave her some kix cereal. She didn't want it. Usually she can preoccupy herself with this for at least 15 minutes.. This morning she didn't even want one. She cried and cried til I switched her food out for something else. I gave her some baby food (sweet potatoes and corn) She ate all of it- Didn't act like it was her favorite food or anything.. But at least She ate it better then she was eating the kix. By the time I finally got to the store this morning to get her formula, I gave her her bottle. and she drank the whole 8 oz not a problem.

Its kind of sad that I'm so close to getting her off the bottle. Its so much more convenient then food sometimes.

The other day my friend April came over- She saw Lexie throw her leg over her car and sit on it. She commented that that was really good because her daughter destiny cant do that yet-
I really just think every baby is different. They all learn different things at different times.

I accidentally left my bedroom door open while Lexie was awake FORGETTING that I had her presents that she hasn't seen yet in there - unwrapped. All that she saw was her BUTTERFLY TOY BOX that I got for her. By the time that she saw it.. she was so excited and walking all over that thing- She was trying to sit on the top- So cute- I will definitely have to get pics after her birthday of her on it.

cry cry cry :( she feels miserable.

so much for my luck. I think that I jinxed myself. Yesterday her teeth were hurting her so bad. I felt so bad for her. I put her to sleep last night because she was kinda cranky. After putting her to sleep she woke up four different times crying MAMA MAMA MAMA MAMA........
:'(
It breaks my heart to see her in pain. I gave her some teething tablets and some pain reliever medicine. It didn't seem to make any difference though. I'm not sure how tonight will be. I am hoping better- She was crying with her eyes closed while sitting up in her crib. She didn't want to be held. She just wanted the pain to go away. So, I let her stay up with me a lil while each time she woke up- But i could tell by the way she was crying she really just needed to get some sleep-
So, I put her in her crib and turned on a lullaby CD for her in her room :) I think that definitely helped- She only woke up twice after that.
I really think I need some better Cd's for her though. Their not too entertaining... HA. IDK why they would even make Cd's with music like that.. lol.. I'm sure Lexie wishes that it had a little better music too. But, it was good - the best I had.

It probably didn't help at all that shes starting to get the first signs to a cold. all night her nose was runny and it was hard for her to breathe. She hates when I wipe it- But what baby doesn't??
Hopefully she feels better tonight. We will see.

finally.. a 1st TOOTH.

Yesterday I was talking with Jennifer telling her she still has no teeth. I was worried when she did get teeth how I was going to bribe her to put a tooth brush in her mouth. She said she gave Summer a lil rubber tooth brush that she would love for her gums to rub against it. She gave one to me. After getting home last night we decided to go to my moms to visit with Josh as my mom is out of town. After I got there- she was hungry. I snuck her a couple graham cracker cookies. As she was eating them- I thought.. to feel her gums for a tooth-
NOT THINKING THERE WAS ONE ACTUALLY GOING TO BE THERE----
sure enough ITS HARD.. I WAS LIKE OMGOOSH.. ?
no way? a tooth! She hadn't been fussy at all yesterday- OR TODAY.
Their is still NO DROOL.
I am absolutely STILL in shock that she has a tooth.
SUPER EXCITED- not sure why? bc the only privilege I get out of this is to make sure her teeth are brushed- Time to go get some fluoride free toothpaste. I HOPE SHE LIKES THE REAL TOOTH BRUSH AS MUCH AS SHE LOVES THE ONE JENNIFER GAVE TO ME FOR HER TO USE. Today I got it on a video on my camera of her brushing her teeth. I taught her how to rub it around all her GUMS. and she was laughing doing it for like thirty mins. She carried that thing everywhere I would let her. Then I thought that's probably not the best thing for her to carry around with her... EASY TO LOSE. One of the kids already took off with the case that it goes in. not a big surprise..... It looked like something the kids would like to play with.

Today me and johnny took her to Walgreen's to fill one of Johnny's prescriptions. AS we walked around the store and waited we went to the Halloween isle to look at costumes.. Johnny tried a few scary looking ones on. Lexie was looking at him like she was scared to death- We let her play with the long mustache on one of them - She backed away- Then, Johnny tried the scariest one on and she jumped backwards and cried.. It was so funny.
I was trying to get her to be ok with Halloween. Now, It kinda looks like she might be scared of it- I hope not. I wonder where kids get there fear from. Since shes been little there hasn't been any reason for her to be scared of masks.. I guess they just look scary. I hope she doesn't feel that way about the Easter Bunny... Atleast his eyes don't pop out of his head. HAHA.

loves to kiss

The other day she was playing with a puppy and I told her to kiss the puppy- She kept going MMMM...WA... AND KISSES THE PUPPY EXCITEDLY. she loved it- Now anytime I tell her to kiss something She doesn't hesitate and kisses it 300 times. Well, Maybe that's a Lil bit of an exaggeration.
It's so funny - when I tell her to give her mommy or daddy kisses She will go MMMM until she gets to my lips and open her mouth.. SHES HILARIOUS.

This morning I got up when she cried to feed her (usually her only bottle of the day.) After she napped a few hours later- We got up and played with her toys in her room for a little while Until her pawpaw (Johnny's dad) came over to help Johnny fix our door. I think she enjoyed his company. And sometimes I think she says papa. haha.. Maybe shes talking about him- And.. Maby not. lol.

I figured she was about to get hungry so I got some strawberrys out that I cut up in halves a couple days ago- GOOD THINK I DID :) She loved them and ate EVERY SINGLE STRAWBERRY--- OK.. she may have let me eat 3.. HAHA. Everytime she would swallow a strawberry she would yell at me until I gave her another - I tried to teach her to say PLEASE and THANK YOU instead of SCREAMING at me to get what she wants-
Sometimes she tries to say thank you- I know what she means- I'm sure nobody else would though. She kinda says TU TU. lol... But I cant get to attempt a PLEASE.

Later, Rylee came over to play- They had a fun play date (as usual) I was trying to put them in her room to play together- They didn't seem to like that idea too much- Johnny's fathers paint brushes seemed a lot funner for them to play with. I think we need some kind of gate that I can put up to keep her in her room - ?? Amber said rylee wouldn't go for that. I wonder if Lexie would- Shes a little bit younger-- a little bit more adaptable...

trying out milk.

LEXIE LOVES HER BLANKET FROM HER LOLLY AND POPS :)
I went in the room after her nap and she was standing there with the blanket over each shoulder- She was so cute- But of course- By the time that I got the camera and got a decent picture- The blanket had fallen. I still LOVE IT though.

Shes still just 11 months- and Amber tells me to try giving her milk- LEXIE loves to steel RYLEES sippy-cup with SOY MILK in it. It tastes a Lil sweet - so I've heard.

I have been trying to limit her to one bottle a day. I decided to try giving her some skim milk that amber had- Amber said she would like it- For some reason I said she wouldn't-

She was excited thinking it was apple juice- AND SHE DRANK IT. and HATED IT.. haha.

She kept putting it down- and making a sour face. HAHA. I kept giving it to her during the day while she was thirsty hoping she would like it more. But, - NO LUCK so far -

I will keep trying. :)
She has also been throwing little temper tantrums when shes sleepy. She hates it when she is so into something- and I will grab her and bring her inside and she will flip out CRYING KICKING AND SCEAMING! I usually just put her in her crib with her blanket and shut the light off and the sweet angel sticks her thunb in her mouth and falls right asleep.
I can't believe her birthday is so soon :) I have decided I want to have her party at Chester frost park because I think more ppl will come. maybe?
I don't know. But a cook out sounds great to me. and a pinata party for the older kids. and LEXIE can play in the park for awhile. open presents- and call it a party :) I have no idea who will come .. Most ppl are flaky- We will see.

STANDING BY HERSELF... A LONG TIME.

Today I went to my great dads house. (he just told me to add an adjective before DAD)
Right when we walked in I put her down- standing......... and she stood for 30 seconds BY HERSELF. She knew she was standing by herself. and she was standing there with a BIG smile on her face- Too bad I couldn't get it on camera- I never have my camera when I actually need it. She was so proud of herself- before falling down. ha.
My dad was VERY excited that he got to see her (pretty much for the first time)
She wont do it again- I'm not sure what put her in the mood to show off for me. I am just hoping that she wants to show off for her daddy when she gets home. HA.
Right now she is spending some time with Jennifer- and hopefully Summer will wake up soon and get to play with her before we leave here.
Earlier we were in the living room watching her play with a talking book. and the book said HAPPY. and she said happy. WE ALL HEARD HER. she tries to play us like she cant talk.. ha.
BUT she is smarter then she chooses to let me believe. I think she likes being my BIG baby.
