wheres mommys brain at?

Well when Lexie turned 6 months old. She was sick throwing up. We took her to the Dr and they told us to give her pedialyte. And she threw up longer then usual. But, after about two wks.. shes Back to smiling all the time and playing! She does tummy time for longer periods of time but still would prefer sitting up anyday :) She still doesnt like her passie.. Its grreeat bc everytime i go out.. i dont have to think about her passie. But when i put her to sleep. its a lil harder.. BC i cant juss stick her passie in her mouth and expect her to be ok. Sometimes she goes straight to sleep. But sometimes she cries herself to sleep. She will fall asleep on me now a lot though. If were out and about and I can just rock her to sleep. WHICH MAKES THINGS WAAAY EASIER.
She holds her bottle very well. Sometimes, she would rather act like a baby and have somebody hold it though.
A couple days ago we took Lexie Easter Egg hunting. It was right before her nap time though. So, she wasnt very happy the entire time. She just wanted to go to bed. She lasted til the end though. But then when all the kids played together she fell asleep. But we got some pictures.

Me and Johnny took her to see the easter bunny today. :)' She loved him. HUGE SMILES :) I get her all dressed in her easter clothes. and sit her on his lap, pull my camera out, and it wont turn on because i forgot my battery in its charger at home plugged into the wall! HaHaHa. Yeah? where's mommys brain at?

regular oatmeal?

So, the other day Johny went to the hospital because his blood sugar was over 800. I wanted to stay the night there at the hospital with him. So i asked Jennifer if she would baby sit. and ofcourse, shes ALWAYS happy to baby sit her :)

She said that she was an angel :) I love to hear that. So, She also told me that she told my dad to watch her for a couple minutes and she told him to make her a bottle and put some oatmeal in with it. So, when she comes back she looks at the bottle and theirs a bunch of stuff at the bottom of the bottle. She asked him about it. And he put REGULAR PEOPLE oatmeal in her bottle! hahahahhaahahahaaha. Hes funny :)

So, anyways. Lexie is now laughing hysterically :)

The other day in the hospital room. We had some bonding time. She wouldn't stop laughing! shes finally ticklish. I think? I kept tickling her arm pits. and She loved it. She loves to be talked to. She loves when i hold her. She also loves when i roll her around across the room. She still wont do it herself though. I have been trying to do it. hoping that it would give her some motivation to do it herself! Shes sleeping now though, So I cant try tummy time again. I really think she will just skip the rolling over and crawling and just start walking? Just because she hates it so much! She still doesn't attempt to roll over. She just fusses til I pick her up.
I have now started giving her graduate bite puffs. I have to break them in half and give them to her. Or she has a little trouble! she likes them though. I like the regular ones better though. Less mess.

She also has began to play with other babies. and Ryan. The other day She was passing the graduate bites from Ryan to her.. to Ryan to her. And Rylee was playing with her with the keys. shed grab them and give them back. Shes pretty good with sharing..... SO FAR...

Well, shes almost six months old ! I cant wait to go to her Dr appointment the 20th! and find out how much she weighs.

Lexies FINALLY starting to sit up :)

she started doing it good about three days ago :) She sits up for a long time.. but starts to arch her back when getting tired.

She still wont roll over though because she still HATES being on her belly.

The other day she fell asleep on my leg though :) very adorable. she never does that.

I took her to the Dr the other day. and they weighed and measured her and they said that shes only on the 7th percentile!!! i don't think that i believe that though... So I decided I'm not writing it in her baby book until i go again. when shes six months..

september 20th!

Lexie was acting so much bigger!

one day before she was finally FIVE MONTHS!

We were sitting there playing together. and she starts mimicking what i did! It was soo exciting!

First she was throwing her hand at me MULTIPLE TIMES over and over and over again. Like, she was playing high five.... And then i was blowing out with my mouth.. making noises. so she did it too !So, we just did that for like thirty min like it was a game! it was sooo cute! shes getting to the "FUN stage" now.
She just sits there and laughs about all day. Shes so entertained at the littlest stuff. Shes been so happy lately..
I DON'T WANT HER TO START TEETHING SOON :(

Yesterday was my cousins Christina's birthday so we went to Shane's rib shack..
She sat very well in a high chair.. and at the end of the meal me and johnny decided to giver her a lil piece of cake and ice cream. I didn't get a great picture of it. But it was fun.. She liked it... not as much as she likes those watery Popsicles though ...

The other day Lexie had a rash underneath her neck. She never puts her head up, so I never realized she had a rash from when the milk comes out of the bottle. It smelled a little Bit. I gave her a bath. and now i will def have to be a lil more careful about when stuff falls underneath her chub roll! hahah. i felt so bad for her..

Yesterday... I'm not sure what was wrong with her... but no matter what i did... she would not go to sleep. she screamed and screamed fighting her sleep for about a hr and a half.. so.. I put her in the bath to calm her down. and she finally smiled at me twice in the bath tub. I tried to keep her in there as long as possible so that she would forget about her problem.. and I got her out. put sleep better lotion on her.Dressed her. and she remembered to start crying again all of a sudden. so, i rocked her to sleep for about five min. and she woke up about twenty min later and finally decided she would sleep in her crib. She slept for like 6 hrs after that! she sure is sleeping a lot lately! I check on her at least 3 times during her naps. I'm sure that's a lil overboard.. haha.

She when she woke up she felt a lil bit warm. I took her temperature. and It was 100 degrees! so, i called her new dr.. that she hasn't seen yet. and they said since she hasnt seen her that she cant go there on the weekends or something? i don't know i didn't really understand. But, they said that they would tell somebody who i could see to give me a call back. And they never called. Luckily it just got better on its own! I took her temperature a little later and it was back to normal.

Today she went to the movies for the first time! I thought that she would do pretty good. But, She started screaming right when i sat down.. I fed her.. and the bottle was gone. so johnny went down to get her formula out of the car. And by the time he got back with it she didn't even want it anymore. She never realizes shes full til after she over eats.. haha.

Then her uncle josh held her and she finally fell asleep!

next time, i think i will ask someone if they would like to baby sit ! I'm sure it would make MOVIES a lot easier :)

air plane!

FINALLY FOUR MNTHS OLD!

feb 29th- lexie went on her first airplane ride to las vegas! She was very good! it was pretty hard to get her to fall asleep though. Because her favorite place to sleep is in her crib.. But, once she finally did. She pretty much slept the entire time. We got their. and went to several places out to eat, and casinos. and we went downtown and she got to watch the tv on the top of the cieling (hard to explain unless u have been there) It was fun!

Lexie gets BIGGER AND BIGGER EACH AND EVERY DAY! its so crazy.. I cant leave her on any couches anymore because she likes to do front flips off of it. so i have to be extra careful of where and what i put her on.. She cried for her first time in vegas because her nona was holding her. and she saw me. and she wanted me to hold her.. That has never happened before then. It was a good feeling. But, also I dnt want her to be one of those bbies that are so needy and i cant leave her with anyone because she feels lke she needs me.
She still sleeps a lot. But, Im pretty sure thats not going to last very long :(

In the morning time she lays in her crib making noises- but when she sees me she starts screaming because it reminds her that shes hungry!

SQUASH ")

well. i was talking with Jennifer a cpl days ago. and she was telling me how Lexie will stay full a lot longer and i will not have to breast feed so much if i started giving her Cereal. and baby food. She showed me her old baby book. and she started eating cereal at one month. So it made me feel a lot better about giving it to her early. Because Jennifer turned out just fine :)
So I went to wal-mart that night. Because they have 75% off ornaments for my tree next yr for Christmas. and while i was there I grabbed a box of baby cereal. and one of each kind of baby food.
The next day at work, Me and Lexie's aunt Sydney fed her. We mixed her squash baby food with cereal. and Lexie LOVED It.. at first she wasn't quite understand what to do with it once it got in her mouth. and she did make some crazy little faces. But she loved it.
We recorded a video of her :) I dont know if i can post videos on here? if anyone knows how. Let me know :)

i feel like shes getting so big and growing up so fast. Today her aunt bridget saw her and she said that shes getting a lot bigger. Because she hasn't seen her in about a week.
She is getting big.. Her three month clothes dont quite fit her yet tho. But she is wearing them :)

We have been working a lil bit more and more on tummy time. But she doesn't really like it. She loves attention. and anytime that shes on her belly she cant see whats going on around her. So she usually cries. Sometimes i can get her in a good mood though. And she basically juss tries to flip over to her back. shes done it once.. but never again..
and the first time she rolled over. I may have helped her a lil too much. So it might not count :)
